NOTD: Cherry Blossoms

I can't believe my first year of uni is over! Seems like just yesterday I was moving in and now I'm having to pack up all my things. I can't wait to move into my new house next week though, so exciting!
Since I'm going to have much more time on my hands this summer I going to attempt to post at least once a week, maybe more. I've got a massive backlog of nail art pictures that I forgot to put up so I'll be doing that over the next couple of weeks!

Hope you are having a great beginning of summer xx

This is such an inspiring event to create manicures for! Have a go xxx

NOTD: Neutral Zebra Print

As you may have noticed my nail tutorials have been few and far between recently! This is because I've started a new job as a waitress and bar maid and I'm not allowed to wear extravagant nail polish! I've done a zebra print before but I wanted something a bit more subtle so I could get away with it at work and I loved how ti turned out. This proves that you can practice nail art without it being OTT :)

Get a FREE Graze Box + Review :)

Confession time: I am a major snacker! I'm always nibbling something and most of the time the cheapest thing seems to be unhealthy snacks. Since coming to university I've put on some unwanted weight and I truly believe it's because I'm eating more crap than I used to! Because of this I've been trying to shed the pounds by joining the gym and avoiding processed foods (as much as I can anyway!). This quest brought me to the graze.com, a service that sends you a box of healthy goodies whenever you want, either everyday, once a week or once a fortnight! I managed to get a coupon for a free box so I decided to give it a go. Result? I loved it! The snacks are so yummy and delicious, therefore I'm definitely staying subscribed to this service!
As I'm now subscribed I got a code that gets all my friends a free box!
The code is Z663W45B . All you have to do is go to the website, enter your details and the code and voila! The box will be on it's way to you. If you receive it and don't like it all you've got to do is unsubscribe. Simples!
I ate the bottom 2 things before I took the picture, oopsies! Haha xx

I'd be interested to know what you guys think, so give it a go! :)

My next paycheck... Joebrowns.co.uk

Here's the thing, I have a problem. Not so much a problem but an addiction. An online shopping addiction!
I an always online on my favorite sites, looking at the newest and most fabulous things I can find! Unfortunately I always forget the things I find, so I thought what better way to remember them than to post the links on here, and in doing so I can also share my finds with you!

Today I was on the Joe Browns website. For those of you that don't know Joe Browns is a British company that sells high quality, reasonably priced clothing online. They specialise in "Indie" style clothing which isn't really my thing but I always manage to find some thing(s) that I love!

Floral Jeans, Wedges,  Bikini, Floral Skirt, Stripey Jumper, Grey Camisole, Scarf, Navy Camisole, PJ Bottoms

As you can see there's a definite pattern this spring! Loving the navy/blue hues and the gorgeous floral prints!
Let me know what you think of me doing this, I've certainly got plenty more where this came from!

Nail Help!

Hello my lovely ladies :)

Firstly I'd like to apologise for the lack of post recently! There is literally only one excuse:
My nails are so weak I've had to stop putting polish on them!

They are peeling everywhere, not the the white parts but in the centre of the nail as well, making me worry about the overall health of my nails!

I'm not sure what's brought this on but I don't feel comfortable putting polish and therefore polish remover on weak nails.

I've been trolling the internet for some kind of treatment, something that can help them grow strong like they used to! I'm thinking the OPI treatments, Sally Hansen, etc.

Does anyone have any that they have tried and loved? Please comment below, my nails will be eternally grateful! Also, if you know of any supplements that will help them out please let me know also, I'm keen to get back into nail painting for you :)

NOTD: Inverted French Manicure

Just did this mani for a but of fun and loved it! I used Barry M Raspberry (although it looks more purple on the pictures), followed by OPI's I Juggle ... Men, a clear topcoat with blue and pink sparkle. I've put the blurred pic on here because it picks up the glitter quite well! I finished it off with one of my nail art pens to do the half circles!
A cute, easy, trendy look for spring :)

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

I realise starting this post that the internet doesn't need yet another review raving about Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish. However I figured I would do one anyway, just in case some of you haven't heard of it yet or for those of you that are on the fence about buying it and need to see another blogger calling it a HG product before you decide to splurge on a £15 cleanser.

I've been eBay-ing loads of my old clothes recently, and therefore my Paypal account has been booming! I decided I'd buy something that I normally wouldn't spend my money on but had wanted for ages. Helloooooo Liz Earle!

I bought the starter set on eBay for £11.50. With postage it came to £14 but that's still cheaper that what I would have got it for from the online shop!

As soon as I received it I rushed over to the sink to try it out! It took off all my make up in a gentle sweep and left my skin very very pampered and moisterised. I must admit I was worried about the thickness of the product, mainly because my skin has oily tendencies and I'd always been told to go for a gel cleanser, not a lotion.

This cleanser proved everyone wrong though! After a couple of days of using it morning and night my skin started to look plumper and more radiant. I've never understood what people mean by radiant skin, I always thought they were exaggerating, however this product does literally make skin glow! I feel so cleansed after using this, and it's so much easier than using makeup remover or a make up wipe then cleanser . I don't wear lots of skin makeup, mainly powder, so everything comes off the first time around. Those of you that wear heavy foundation may find you need to remove their excess makeup before hand.

Conclusion? BUY IT! It's literally the nicest thing I've ever done for my skin, after only a week it's become a staple product. It's worth the money and your skin will definitely thank you for it!

What are your thoughts on Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish? Worth the slurge or not worth the hassle?

NOTD: Indian Style French Tip

Hey ladies! This manicure is a fun yet quite neutral nail, just a little pop of colour. I painted the nail a nude colour, then painted a red tip, then followed it by a blue border. I added little white dots for a little bit of interest!
What are your thoughts ? I loved the way they turned out.

A nail girls worst nightmare!

Oh. My. Goodness.
In genuine choc right now. I bought 3 brand new, sealed Models Own nail polishes off of Ebay last week. I paid £4 for all three, so as you can imagine I was so excited!
Until, dear god, I opened my favorite colour to paint my nails. And I saw... THIS!

NO BRUSH!

What am I supposed to do lovely ladies? I'm furious but part of me knows it's not the sellers' fault seeing as the other 2 polishes were fine and as I said it was perfectly wrapped.
I've just contacted Models Own and I'll see what they reply!
Beware lovely bloggers, always check your bottles before you buy, this could happen to you!

Here's a fire inspired mani for you guys! I painted my nails a coral colour, then sponged a red colour onto the tips. I then painted on some gold/red/orange glitter!
I thought it looked so lovely!
Hope you enjoy :) I promise the next post will come shortly!

NOTD: Metallic Tip Modern French Manicure

Hey my lovely ladies! Firstly sorry the pictures aren't as good as they should be for this post, I was sure I'd taken some day time pictures of this mani but obviously not, oopsies! I chose to do this mani just because I've been a bit low on inspiration at the minute but also because my nails have gotten really long and I love how a french manicure just makes longer nails look elegant and ladylike!
Since the inspiration is running a little low feel free to suggest any ideas you may have and I'll make them happen! :). Everytime my Blackberry beeps telling me one of you has commented on a post it brings a massive smile to me face!
Have a great day,

Animal Print Nails: Tiger Print

I did these nails on my lovely friend Lexi! She wanted something spunky and bright so I thought why not try out another animal print manicure! We went for a bright orange base, added the stripes and added a matte topcoat to make the nails a little different. I love how they turned out, they look so soft and velvety!
Have you tried out these awesome nails yet? If you have let me know in the comments! :)

Garnier Herbashine Review

I DYED MY HAIR! :D

I'd been wanting to do this for ages and never really had the guts, and suddenly last week something made me want to do it more than ever! I used Garnier Herbashine in 600: Light Brown.
I decided I wanted semi permanent just in case I didn't like the results. The dye smelled nice because it's ammonia free, also meaning it's less damaging to hair!
As you can see it's didn't turn out what I would call "Light Brown". I still love it though, it matches my eyes and my eyebrows and it doesn't wash me out. I think the colour will fade to a lighter brown in a couple of weeks (The dye is said to last 6-8 weeks).
I was a little scared that the dye would react with the professional highlights I've been having done for 2-3 years, but it really doesn't look like it has. My hair is lighter in some places (due to the highlights I think) but I feel this just gives a more natural effect.
All in all, I really recommend the brand and this colour to all blondes that want a little walk on the dark side! Fingers crossed it'll continue to look good through out the 6-8 week period!

I can't decided which colour I prefer yet, because they are so different! Therefore, thoughts?

Help me out ladies: Hair Dilemma!

Right, I have a hair decision to make! For several years I've been wanting to dye my hair a medium to dark brown, mainly because my natural colour is a mousy dark blonde and I'm really not a fan of it! I went down the road of blonde highlights for many years, making my plain hair look shiny and light! I've come to a point where I really want to see what I'd look like if I went darker instead of lighter. I want a semi permanent colour, something that'll wash out in a month or so.
My only worry is that my highlights will go a weird orange colour if I mess this up!
Therefore, I need your need! I have no knowledge in this field and I'm open to ANY suggestions!

This is the kind of colour I want to go for, so if you know any semi permanent hair dyes that give this look please let me know! The fate of my hair is in your hands xx

Animal Print Nails: Zebra Print

This is the second mani in my new series, animal print nails! I don’t know what it is about animal print but I just lurveeeee them all so much! This one turned out miles better than I was expecting. I’m all about intricate, detailed nails so I thought this one might be a little plain and simple for my taste! Well, I got proved wrong by nail art once again! I think this is a kind of “less is more” manicure. You need to keep it as simple as possible! The less cluttered the nail is the more obvious the pattern becomes! I chose to paint this mani on a metallic silver base because I thought it would add a touch of shine and I love how it looks! The whole time I was wearing it I was looking down at my nails and feeling very chuffed, a bit sad I know! I loved them even more when my friend Sam (a guy) called them fierce! I think that this type of design could also be called Tiger Print if you did it on an orange base, I’m not sure what the difference is :). So there you go ladies, another animal print manicure for you all to try out!

Animal Print Nails: Fish Scales

This post is the first in a series! I'm really excited to be doing these animal print themed manis, they are very on trend and really cute, plus they're a fun way to add detail! My first mani in the series is this fish scale mani! I was inspired by the video below, I thought they looked gorgeous so I gave it a go! I must warn all you beginners, this mani definitely isn't the easiest one I've ever done. The outlining of the scales is quite time consuming and hard to duplicate on your dominant hand, so be careful before you start! You could always ask a friend to do it for you!
However hard this mani may be, I absolutely love how it turned out! It looks so intricate, and as always, the highest form of praise for me is people asking where I bought my stickers on my nails, and this happened twice! SCORE!

Give it a go, it's really worth the work!

Keep your eyes peeled for the next mani in the series: Zebra Print!

NOTD: Busy Bumble Bee Nail Art

Hey everyone! This nail art is a little bit different from what I normally do. It's a bit more cute I think :) I thought it was the perfect way to start my spring themed manis!
Keep your eyes peeled for a new series I'll be posting very soon, all about animal print! I've already started the manicures and they look amazing, I'm so excited to show you all! If you have any animal print requests be sure to post them in the comments and I'll do my best :)

A loved up day well spent!

A slightly different post for me to do! I love reading lifestyle blog posts as well as nail, fashion and beauty ones so I thought I'd give it a shot :)
This Valentine's Day was the first one that I've actually been coupled up for, so I was really looking forward to it. Although I think that it's super cheesy, I've always wanted to spend it with someone special! Warning, this blog post may get a little soppy. I met my boyfriend on my third day of uni. I hadn't come to uni expecting to find someone, let alone find someone so quickly, but it's been amazing. He makes me laugh, he makes me feel loved, and I just love every minute. He's an utter goofball so I never have to feel silly about something I do, because chances are he's already done something sillier! Plus, he pays attention to my nail polish. What a guy !
He got me a charm for my Pandora bracelet that he got me a while ago, which is so generous! (the heart one). Basically, I love him to bits and as someone that used to think that Valentine's Day was just a stupid fake holiday for gooey people to display too much PDA, I'm actually a convert! I loved every second.

Instead of a romantic Valentine's Day evening, we agreed that we'd just chill out and watch iPlayer, which we love to do anyway - mostly because we're so lazy!
However, I volunteer for my SU so I spent the most part of my evening giving out free condoms and chocolates in the bar! I actually loved every second of that too, it was so much fun seeing people hesitantly circle the table looking at the condoms without daring to take some! I do love my people watching haha :)

I hope your V-Day went well as well, plenty more nail art coming soon! I'd also like to thank everyone for actually taking the time to read my blog. It means so much :)

Valentine's Day Nail Tutorial: Love Hearts

Happy Valentine's Day ladies! Here's a tutorial to celebrate the lurveeeee! No matter what your relationship status is, single, in a relationship or married, this tutorial is just cute and fun :)
°Start with a pink base!
°Choose 4 or 5 "Loveheart colours", pastels mostly, and paint "V" shapes on your nails to make little hearts!
°Now, with a nail art brush/pen/toothpick, write little messages in the hearts. The steadier your hand the smaller your messages can be, but I mostly stuck with "HUGS", "KISS" and "I <3 U". Simple!

Hope your all enjoy this mani, I'll looking forward to spending Valentine's Day with the boyfriend (even though that means missing out on my single friends Chinese and RomCom film night, so jealous haha). Hope you're surrounded by people you love tomorrow!

NOTD: Matte Easter Egg stripes

I was having some fun the other day and came up with this manicure! It looks like Easter eggs, so cute! I started with a baby blue base colour, then painting the tip in that metallic navy blue (OPI Sahara Sapphire). Once that had dried I painted over that with OPI Mermaid's Tears. Once that was done I thought it looked a little bare so I took my nail art brush and painted a thin stripe :)
I love how it turned out!

On another note, does everyone have snow where they are? Literally everywhere in the UK has snow except for us *sob*. I think it's because I'm in the Lake District so it has something to do with the wind or something (I stopped listening when someone was explaining it to me haha).

Hope you all have a lovely day!
