NOTD: Valentine's Day inspired

Hey Ladies!
Hope you're all well :). I'm really proud of this nail art, it looks so intricate and professional (well, in my opinion anyway!). As usual, people have been asking me where I bought them, which to me is a sign that my nails are fab haha! Been watching quite a lot of Gavin&Stacey recently so literally just fought the urge to write "lush" instead of fab! Oh dear, my boyfriend even caught me talking in a very bad Welsh accent last night! Time for a G&S break I think.

Quite a few of you asked for a tutorial on floral nails so as soon as my friend that loves a good manicure gets back on Sunday I'll pin her down and take pictures for you! (Sounds painful but she loves it really haha)

Hope you all have a smashing / lush weekend, see you soon xx

Base: OPI "Mermaids Tears"
Silver: Barry M "Silver"
Glitter: China Glaze "Snow Glove"

Randomly did this nail art a couple of days ago, no inspiration I just went along with it and layered it up! I love how it looks, very modern looking :). Plus it's shiny which obviously I love,I'm like a little magpie!
I also went to see the Britain's Got Talent auditions yesterday in Blackpool, it was awesome! I won't go into it now though, another separate blog post coming! It's all to exciting to fit into a NOTD post! Keep your eyes peeled for that xx

Nail Obsession: Cath Kidson Nails

Hello my lovelies!
Recently I've been obsessed with doing Cath Kidson inspired nail art. It so simple but looks very complicated, people always ask me if they are stickers! I did these on my sister first :

I then tried them on myself and think they turned out just as well, if not better!

Let me know what you think, and if you'd like a tutorial just let me know :)

Have a lovely day xxx

(sidenote: these pictures make me miss my long nails so much! Anyone have any tips to make them grow faster? :) )

Too little too late: Christmas Nails

I'm just been looking through my blackberry and found a few pictures on nails from december that I never posted! Ooopsies haha. Well, I thought instead of wasting them I'd put them online and you coumd check back next year for inspiration! Enjoy!

Shock horror! Short Nails

After removing my tribal nails the other day I actually took the time to look at my natural nail. With polish on they were lovely and quite long but without they were brittle, dry and starting to chip slightly. So, on behalf of my nails I took the plunge and decided to start over!

I cut them all down, buffed them and cuticle oiled the hell out of them!! And that I decided to skip on the nail art and put do a simple pink nail. I'm actually surprised with how much I like them. Short nails look quite chic in my opinion!

That being said nail art is quite tricky on short nails so I'm gonna try and get them long again, but for now I'm quite pleased :). Hopefully I'll take better care next time!

NOTD: Tribal / Aztec Nails

Hi all!

Just did this manicure this afternoon, I loved how it turned out. Believe it or not it's really simple.
Just put a white base coat on until opaque, then, using 3 colours of your choice paint random thick and thin lines on the nail. To make it easier I used my nail art pens.
Then, using a black striper, add lines and details for that tribal effect!

Have a good, it's good fun :) xx

PTSD: Post Traumatic Shopping Depression

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Oh dear. It's bad this time. Very bad indeed. I'm sure you all know (you being the very few people that will come to read this) on what I'm about to talk about. Hopefully you'll understand.

You go into a shop, have a wonder round, look at a few items and say: "Ooo, I'll come back to that later" and walk off in search of better things. Then, when you return home, you have an awful flashback of that top, dress or pair of shoes waiting for you, in the cold dark (now closed) shop, or in the arms of someone that obviously won't love it as much as you would have.

Damn memory loss!

As you may have seen I was in Jersey this weekend with the fam. We had a wander round the shops, I picked up my lush pair of ankle boots from New Look... I was happy. Until ... *cue violin*, I just remembered that lace dress in New Look.

On sale, black lace with nude underlay, classy, such a find! It had the ugliest of black satin bows on the front stopping it from looking chic but I would have helped it, saved it from itself by quickly removing it. It was also a size 14, but I had planned out what belt it was going to go with to cinch in that waist. Bad times (sobs)

It looked a little something like this. It's a sad day, it's not even online.

Guys, if you're reading this, let this be a lesson to you. Pick it up straight away! It'll save you the misery and melancholy I'm going through right now.

(Tbh it's all a bit dramatic, but it was a bargain and I missed it *silently kicking myself*. My fashion brain hates me right now)

OOTD: A Jersey Birthday Brunch

This weekend we plodded on over to Jersey to see some family friends to celebrate a 50th birthday! The visit also managed to include a couple of hours with the boyfriend that happened to be in Jersey at the same time *cough cough*. Anywayyyy, haha, whilst there I picked up these gorgeous ankle boots from the sale in New Look for £7. I've been needing some really simple black heels for a while and these are perfect! I decided to test drive them out to the birthday brunch this morning and I really liked how they looked! What do you think?

A pair of random black tights
Knit fairisle dress (ASOS)
Grey jumper (Mango, last winter)
Leather jacket (ASOS)

Hope you're all well xxxx

Happy New Year everyone!

Ello ello lovelies :).
First of all, I'm soooo sorry I've been away this long. I've been in France (back home) for the holidays and forgot my camera at uni *headdesk*. Then there was Christmas, then I was ill, then New Years, then I had surgery on my teeth (4 wisdom teeth gone). Basically, it's been rough!
But anyway, enough of that!
Hope you've all had a fab Christmas and all got very spoiled by Santa :). I got a couple of lovely goodies that I'll be sharing with you, and maybe even reviewing, but all in due time!
First off though, my lovely little sister (that's not so little anymore, she's 16), gave me my first set pf nail foils/wraps for Christmas.
I know, I know, these have been around a while and as a nail obsessed person I should have already tried them out. HOWEVER, I find them sooo pricey for what they are and considering I can pretty much do all the patterns myself anyway I just couldn't condone spending the little money I have on them.
My sister got me these one from Sephora:

They are called "A12 Gold Circles" and to be honest they are really beautiful. I was so excited to try them out! They retail for 8,90 euros so about £8 ish?
I popped them on this afternoon and this is what they look like:

I'm pretty proud of them for my first try! I think they look lovely and shiny and pretty. I popped top coat on them once I was done (Sèche Vite) and I'm not sure if this was a mistake because I noticed it made the edges turn upwards. I'm really not sure if this is a problem with my application, the nail wraps or if I just shouldn't have added a top coat! Ooopsies!

Well anyway, that's that. Would I buy them with my own money? Probably not unless I saw a gorgeous pattern for a special occasion. Would I use them again if I got them as a gift? Hells yeah, they are cool! Haha :)

Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings guys, look out for some more posts coming soon. xxxxxx
